As guests arrived to this special event held at the Greenspun corporate airplane hangar at the Las Vegas airport, they were directed to walk the red carpet entrance into the event, which was decorated in stark black and white to represent the long life of Showbiz Magazine. The hangar's door, fully open and under hung with a heavy drape showed a custom Gobo of the famed magazine's logo. All decor was retro in style to set the stage for the change that would soon be announced?the reason for the party. Black and white film clips of many different covers for the magazine throughout the years were projected on one of the giant walls.
As the event progressed, management spoke of the changes that were to come with the renaming of Showbiz magazine to Las Vegas Magazine: the focal point revealed that the publication was transitioning from a black and white format to color. After this exciting announcement, guests were invited through an opening in the black velvet drape. As the guests stepped through the crevice, they departed the two-toned event and entered into a vibrant, colorful party amidst a polychromatic world. Once inside a second private hangar, guests were surrounded with vivacious color decorations that filled the room, which was broken into color-coded sections mirroring the styling of the new Las Vegas Magazine, using colors to represent each category. Then the energy in the event went through the roof literally. When dancers and confetti rained down from giant colored chandeliers, kicking off an extremely hot party. Action, great food, music, and strolling Las Vegas personalities created electricity at the event, which was attended by the Las Vegas A-List.
